Annual sustainability performance was recently evaluated by many companies in Latvia. We are proud of our members' achievements in the Sustainability Index 2018: SEB banka achieved Platinum and RISEBA Silver. Overall 12 Platinum, 17 Gold, 12 Silver and 7 Bronze awards were given.

Alliance against Corruption in Latvia welcomes a new manager
As of 7th August Ms. Ieva Bloma has taken on the duties of Manager of the Alliance against Corruption in Latvia. Ms. Bloma's professional interests focus on regulatory quality, regulatory costs & reduction of administrative burden, and management of regulatory impact assessment systems. Young professionals armed to fight corruption
Transparency International Latvia/Delna organized a four day summer school conference in Cēsis for young professionals seeking to learn practical knowledge about anti-corruption and political developments in Latvia.

54 421 EUR collected for the Alliance against Corruption
The Alliance against Corruption in Latvia has received 54 421 EUR of which 6500 euro have been contributed by 3 members of AmCham. The goal is to raise 60 000 euro by April 30th and 126 000 euro by mid-June.

1000 EUR was raised in the charity raffle in benefit of the Latvian Foster Family Association, RMHC Latvija Care Mobile and SOS Children's Villages Latvia - organizations striving to promote a healthy development of children and youth and family-based care for the children left without parents. 3000€ towards safe environments and happy kids
This year 3 schools: Rēzeknes preschool "Jāņtārpiņš", Riga's kindergarten "Riekstiņš" and Audriņi Elementary School were awarded 1000 EUR each through If P&C Insurance’s program “If Security Fund”. The funds are used to development projects in institutions all over Latvia.

#Refuse the straw
Radisson Hotels in Riga celebrated Earth Day on April 22 together with more than a billion people across the globe with an aim to fundamentally change people's attitude and behavior towards plastic. To focus consumer attention on the issue of plastic straws and their effects on the environment, hotels took measures to raise consumer awareness that includes displays and signage in public areas, with the tagline #RefuseTheStraw.
