Who is the most family-friendly workplace?

New manager for Alliance against Corruption
As of June Inese Taurina has taken on the duties of Manager of the the Alliance Against Corruption in Latvia implemented by Transparency International Latvia (DELNA). Ms. Taurina was the Board Member of DELNA for more than two years (2017-2019) and has been a member of DELNA since 2011. The Alliance organizes various activities and events to raise awareness of the negative effects of corruption on societal development and to encourage individuals to report instances of corruption.

14 principles of good governance for unlisted companies
The publication "Corporate Governance Guidance and Principles for Unlisted Companies in the Baltics", is adapted to the Baltic business context by the Baltic Institute of Corporate Governance. Unlisted companies are welcome to use this framework to ensure their long-term sustainability.

Support Care Mobile now in Rimi
It is important that children in all regions of Latvia are healthy and happy. As of August 6, you are welcome to support RMHC Latvija (Care Mobile) in all Rimi hypermarkets where donation boxes are distributed. Watch the video! The main mission of the Care Mobile is to get doctors near children's homes to provide free medical consultations and improve health of children.

Cognizant Latvia held a special Day of Joy (Prieka Diena) on August 1st introducing IT to kids. Drifting, go-karting and technology activities were provided for 200 children to enjoy.

It is the right time to help children left without their biological parents get ready for school! The Latvian Foster Family Association kindly asks to support their annual campaign "School children must go to school!".

2 good deeds at a time
SOS Children's Villages and famous Latvian chefs invite you to various Latvia's restaurants on September 2nd in order to support their charity campaign "Take your beloved ones to a restaurant and help others to get to the school". Many restaurants will donate 10 percent of their turnover generated on the day of the campaign for the cause. Check out the list of restaurants and bring your family to one of them by helping children get ready for school!

EUR 1900 raised for charities in the Independence Day Picnic
In total EUR 1900 were raised for AmCham's principal charities during this year's U.S. Independence Day`s Celebration: Latvian Foster Family Association, RMHC Latvija Care Mobile and SOS Children's Villages. As a result, many children in Latvia will receive free healthcare services and a family-based support.

Members of AmCham and BritCham support breast cancer charity
585 EUR were collected in support to the Pink Train Foundation. The donation will cover 29 individual consultations of a psychologist or a psychotherapist to women affected by breast cancer. On May 16 over drinks, snacks, bingo games, live music and a raffle members of two chambers had the chance to get to know the new movement #PUPKULTŪRA.
