In 2019 we have raised more than EUR 3800 for charities: Bezvests.lv, Latvian Foster Family Association, RMHC Latvija Care Mobile, SOS Children's Villages and Pink Train Foundation. As a result many children in Latvia will be able to receive free healthcare services and family-based support. Women affected by breast cancer will get help of psychologist or a psychotherapist and it will help families of missing people.

For the 6th consecutive year the Human Development Award was hosted by AmCham Latvia, the Civic Alliance in Latvia and the U.S. Embassy in Latvia. 2019 Award Winners include: Enģeļa pasts, ĢBAC Brīnumiņš, RTU Engineering High School and SOS Children's Villages in Latvia. The Human Development Award is presented to honor inspiring people and organizations who voluntary contribute their time, work and effort for the society growth and development.

Bezvests.lv, the only volunteer organization providing missing persons search in Latvia, is ready to resume the 116 000 hotline service for missing children and therefore is looking for office space in Latvia. If you have empty commercial office, consider donating it to a good cause rather than leaving it unused.

The holiday season is fulfilled with festivities and fun for most children. You can make holidays brighter for foster children by providing them with presents. The Latvian Foster Family Association is looking for donations for their annual Christmas & New Year celebration event in January 2020. Welcome are books, games, food or sweets and/or financial donation to support the activities of the Foster Families Association.

During the preparation for the heartfelt season of the year, SOS Children's Villages calls to participate in the campaign "Buy a gift and donate" at the shopping center Alfa that offers to choose a personalized donation for Christmas - instead of buying the gift to donate for more than 1200 children who live in foster families. Everyone who will donate more than 10 EUR will receive a "Good will chocolate".

The 23rd International Christmas Bazaar raised almost than €41 000 on November 24th, which will be directed to charity projects in Latvia, with special attention to low-income families, young single mothers, children in need, the elderly, and victims of violence.

Ellex Klavins regularly supports a wide range of cultural institutions and single cultural and artistic initiatives that enrich the community. Among them is "The story of a photographer" - an educational project consisting of 8 video mini-series depicting late 20th and 21st century art photographs displayed in the museum's permanent exhibition with their authors.

Since 2010, Radisson Hotel Group has reduced the footprints of their hotels globally by 20%, including their energy, carbon, and water footprints. And they are looking to reduce that by a further 10% by 2022.

At the end of May, Citadele Bank's subsidiary, CBL Asset Management, created Latvia's first pension plan whose pension savings are invested in businesses which are the most sustainable in their respective industries: protecting the environment, taking care of their employees and acting responsibly in the long term.

McDonald's, a leading restaurant chain in Latvia through its 25 years of growth in Latvia, plans to continue strengthen its market leadership and invest 5.2€ million in further development and people training and motivation program in the next 3 years.
