|
Welcome to our first monthly newsletter in 2024. This month we have been focusing on several advocacy issues, including balancing tax burden for private investors and sustainable investments in healthcare, as well as launching a new work group dedicated to Digital Affairs and AI.
In the first speaker event of 2024, members had a chance to meet the Minister of Economy to discuss his ministerial priorities and ways to improve the business and investment environment. Members also enjoyed our highly popular and informative networking event Business After Hours, this time hosted by Luminor Bank.
As every January, the AmCham Board held its semi-annual retreat to set the strategic direction and priorities for the coming year.
This month we welcomed a new addition to our team - Olena Babushkina. Olena has joined our team as an Office Manager and is ready to add her ideas, expertise, and energy to AmCham. Olena will ensure the smooth running of our daily office activities and will be the primary person of contact with our office.
Check out our calendar below, and please join our upcoming events! Do not hesitate to contact us to share your ideas and feedback - please give us a call or arrange a quick meeting to discuss how we can serve you better. We look forward to hearing from you.

According to Peteris, "Annual average inflation will be close to zero, and prices for goods will generally fall, while prices for services will rise. Since the majority of economically active people are wage earners, the forecast for changes in their well-being for the coming year is favorable.
