Welcome to our monthly newsletter. This month we held two joint chamber events - a business luncheon with the President of Latvia attended by more than 230 investor representatives and a bowling tournament for some 90 participants.
At the latest Board meeting, we welcomed Tatjana Guznajeva, the new Director of FICIL, and Zlata Elksnina-Zascirinska, Chair of FICIL to discuss future cooperation and alignment of our advocacy efforts. The cooperation with FICIL was continued at our Labor Force work group meeting discussing amendments to the Labor Law and new Human Capital Development strategy. This week we also took part in a meeting of the Saeima Economic Committee to present AmCham recommendations on competitiveness, investment attraction, and human capital as part of strengthening Latvia's economic security.
We warmly welcome three new members who have joined the AmCham community - Bite, EPAM Systems, and Sunstar Group. We look forward to seeing all of our members at our AGM next week! If you cannot join in person, please make sure to vote in advance or delegate someone else to vote on your behalf.
