Saeima Committees have expressed support to AmCham advocacy issues related to establishment of the Economic Affairs Court and reforms in the governance model of higher education institutions. It is clear that a new reality, when both the work environment and the requirements for employees and companies will have to change. The state of emergency declared in Latvia on March 13 as a result of the global COVID-19 pandemic came to an end at midnight June 9. From June 10 Latvia will no longer be in a state of emergency. However, certain restrictions must be observed even after the end of the state of emergency.

Welcome to our weekly newsletter. This week's highlight was the fact that Latvia announced the end of its state of emergency, however many restrictions remain in place. As we are approaching the summer season, there will be less events, but stay tuned for some more events before the break.
