About AmCham

AmCham serves as a thought leadership hub for american and international business in Latvia. It is the leading foreign business organization in Latvia, representing more than 160 members, including some of the largest international companies in the country.

AmCham is an independent, non-profit, non-governmental entity fully supported by its members.

How It Began

AmCham was founded in March 1993 by 27 American investors commited to enhancing the trade and investment climate in Latvia.
 
The U.S. Embassy was key in bringing the members together and pushing the idea toward fruition. AmCham Latvia was the second Chamber founded in the former Soviet Union, second only to AmCham Ukraine.
 

AmCham Today

AmCham members are legal entities and individuals that support the Chamber's mission and goals. Currently, we have 162 members in AmCham, from which:
