Latvia's strategic shift in economy and transport

On June 7, members joined a luncheon with Kaspars Briskens, Minister for Transport to get an overview of the transport sector and discuss the latest developments and efforts to reshift Latvia's transport and logistics routes westbound. 

The event was moderated by Arnis Kakulis, Vice-Chairperson of the Supervisory Board of Rail Baltica.

Kaspars Briškens has served as the Minister of Transport for Latvia since September 2023. His notable roles include head of strategy and development at RB Rail AS, supervisory board member at Air Baltic Corporation, and CEO of the Latvian Logistics Association. He has also been a member of parliament, vice chair of the Budget & Audit Committee for the Baltic Assembly, and held various positions in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, including Deputy Head of International Trade and Investment.
