Exploring Michigan-Latvia partnership

Jun 13, 2018
Radisson Blu Rīdzene Hotel, Reimersa 1
On June 13, celebrating the 25th anniversary of the State Partnership Programme between Latvia and the State of Michigan, AmCham Latvia hosted the monthly business luncheon at the Radisson Blu Rīdzene Hotel, restaurant "Piramida". AmCham Latvia was more than thrilled to have the Governor of Michigan, Rick Snyder, as the keynote speaker, drawing the correlates between the economic development in Latvia and Michigan, including the level of unemployment and potential for business growth. From enduring the "Lost Decade" to giving opportunities to young professionals, through hard work and dedicated effort, Michigan has proven itself to be a success story, and in many ways, can serve as a positive role model for the politics and economy of Latvia.

The luncheon coincided with the visit of the Society of International Business Fellows (SIBF) in the Baltics and members had the chance to connect with more than 30 American business people of various industries, including real estate, manufacturing, retail, construction, finance, marketing, etc.

The Society of International Business Fellows (SIBF) is an organization of top executives, entrepreneurs, and professionals connecting and educating global business leaders from 40 countries around the world to further their professional and personal success by presenting an array of experiential executive education programs for members.

Thank you to the co-host:
