On March 20 the 32nd Annual General Meeting of AmCham was held to review the past year’s activities and elect new members of the Board of Directors. The AGM was joined by the U.S. Ambassador to Latvia and nearly 90 members.
In his opening remarks Christopher Robinson, U.S. Ambassador remarked, "True security encompasses economic stability and resilience. By fostering economic growth, we are not only enhancing prosperity but also fortifying the security of both our nations."
AmCham President John Tully outlined the Chamber’s vision and highlighted key achievements. He said, "Over the past year, AmCham has been dedicated to strengthening transatlantic and bilateral economic ties, advancing Latvia’s business and investment environment, and fostering the development of its human capital. We remain committed to advocating for American investors, prioritizing transatlantic trade and investment, with a special focus on key areas such as security and defense, digital innovation, human capital, and favorable tax environment."
AmCham Vice Presidents Ieva Racenaja, Roberts Melbardis and Pauls Miklasevics presented the past year's highlights in the areas of advocacy, programs, membership and finances. Members elected Orients Audit & Finance as the Auditor for 2025.
Three of AmCham Vice Presidents and longstanding Board members concluded their tenure after six years of service. The exemplary leadership of Roberts, Pauls and Ieva leaves a profound legacy, strengthening our organization and inspiring future leaders to continue their remarkable work.
At the AGM the following members were elected on the Board for a two-year term: Tamer Cigeroglu, Country Director of ATU Duty Free, Vitnija Saldava, Regional Public Policy Lead at Meta, Dita Erna Sile, Public Affairs & External Communication Head Baltics at Novartis and Sarmis Spilbergs, Partner at Ellex Klavins.
Indars Ascuks, Guntars Krols, John Tully, Rauls Velins, and Liga Smildzina-Bertulsone will continue to serve on the Board.

At the first meeting of the Board, new officers for 2025-2026 will be elected.
