Business After Hours kindly hosted by our member Encompass Digital Media Latvia on June 13 took place at their office. 

The program included a presentation on the global media landscape, the future of TV and emerging business models. Members had an opportunity see the LNT TV studio and had a tour around the premises of the largest digital media and channel origination facility in the region. There is located a 24/7 Network Operations Center (NOC) and live streaming takes place.

This was an exciting event with networking, excellent wine and delicious snacks. 

After the discussion the traditional door prize drawing took place. 3 winners of this drawing received great prizes from the host.

TV viewing is shifting from linear TV channels to video-on-demand (VOD) and online platforms. Disruptive innovators like Netflix and Big Tech companies like Amazon and Apple are entering the media industry. As a result, media companies are re-designing business models and even larger media conglomerates emerge from multi-billion M&As.
