€6250 raised to support charities

Aug 16, 2023

In the first half of 2023, AmCham raised more than €6200 for charities: Children's Hospital FoundationLatvian Foster Family AssociationPink Train FoundationRonald McDonald House Charities in Latvija, and SOS Children's Villages. As a result of members' donations, the charities we support will be able to promote healthy development of Latvia's children and their rights to grow up in a family environment as well as support women who are affected by breast cancer. Let's continue supporting them throughout the year!

€3100 was raised for AmCham's principal charities during this year's U.S. Independence Day's Celebration on July 1st: Children's Hospital FoundationLatvian Foster Family AssociationPink Train FoundationRonald McDonald House Charities in Latvija and SOS Children's Villages. As a result, many children in Latvia will receive free healthcare services, a family-based support as well as will support women affected by breast cancer.

The charity raffle was supported by ATU Duty Free, Burger King, ESPA Riga, Forum Cinemas, Gosselin, Indian Raja, Procter & Gamble and Taka Spa.

In addition, on April 22 AmCham celebrated 30th Anniversary and among all festivities organized a charity auction raising €3150 in benefit of Children's Hospital Foundation, Latvian Foster Family Association and SOS Children's Villages. The paintings for the charity auction were generously provided by our members Filips Klaviņš, John Tully, Rauls Vēliņš and SEB Bank.

We are grateful to all members and guests who helped raise a significant amount for a good cause.
