AmCham commends healthcare professionals for dealing with COVID-19

On May 14, AmCham sent a letter to the Ministry of Health thanking and commending Latvian healthcare professionals for their work during this time of unprecedented crisis, successfully containing the spread of the coronavirus in Latvia. The Chamber has emphasized before and continue to call for allocating more funding to the healthcare sector to address the immediate challenges, including ensuring proper wages to medical personnel, essential infrastructure and equipment for healthcare professionals and applicable digital solutions. We strongly support a sustainable and strategic increase in the healthcare budget, reinforcing the need to invest in health to prevent the spread of Covid-19 and beyond.
