Priorities for 2020

Jan 07, 2020
On January 7, AmCham Board and Staff came together for a semi-annual strategic meeting to decide upon Chamber's direction and priorities for 2020.

The board approved the following priority areas for this year:

1) Enhancing trade and investment between Latvia and the U.S.

2) Improving the investment and business climate in Latvia with a focus on addressing new compliance framework in the Latvian financial sector.

3) Attracting international talent - Latvia as a career destination with focus on integration, diversity, the future of work and digital society as well as calling for cross-sectoral dialogue to address labor shortage issues.

4) Improving health outcomes of Latvia's society - continuing the work of the Healthcare work group as well as organizing healthcare related seminars, workshops and conferences.

The Board meets twice a year outside its monthly meetings for a focused, strategic session to set the future direction and review the Chamber's performance.

I look forward to promoting stronger U.S.-Latvia ties and working with AmCham members to ensure Latvia is a trusted destination for international business.
