Latvian digital health start-up and AmCham member Longenesis has won 1st place and a 100 thousand dollar prize in the start-up competition "Supernova Challenge 2.0", which took place during the exhibition "Expand North Star 2024" in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
More than a thousand start-ups participated in the competition, of which 155 made it to the semi-finals and 20 to the finals. "This is an important step for us to open the door further. The vision and desire of this region is to transform it into an epicenter of health innovation and health research. And our solution can help you do that," says Emil Sjundjukov, co-founder and CEO of "Longenesis".
The victory in the competition is significant for the company because Longenesis has been working in the United Arab Emirates for four years, providing its solution in the creation of the world's largest genome bank.
I look forward to promoting stronger U.S.-Latvia ties and working with AmCham members to ensure Latvia is a trusted destination for international business.
