Measuring trade barriers on export to U.S.

Jun 09, 2014
The Ministry of Economics invites small and medium entrepreneurs to take part the survey organized by European Commission. The survey is conducted with an aim to identify the obstacles and restrictions on export of goods and services to the U.S. The European Commission will take into account information provided by entrepreneurs as a part of an independent impact assessment of the European Commission preparing for the next round of negotiations of Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP).

Please fill the questionnaire by July 14 that is available here.  Please inform the Foreign Economic Relations Department of the Ministry of Economics in case of submitting the questionnaire by e-mail:pto@em.gov.lv or phone +371 6701328. You are also welcome to contact the Ministry in case of any additional questions.

The next TTIP round is planned this year from July 14 to July 18 in Brussels. The new agreement will provide even more opportunities for the EU, including in the Latvian companies that export to the U.S. and promote U.S. business investment in Europe.

Further information on the TTIP Agreement is available here.
