Aug 16, 2017

In June, Nordea Bank organized the third Junior Achievement Latvia (JAL) masterclass for your people aged from 16 to 20 for the third year in a row.

During the discussion, 14 young people of school age discussed how smart and purposeful the company's image and product brands should be with their mentors. During the first half of the day, the discussion was led by the strategic planner Edgars Pētersons, who has gained extensive experience working in the leading advertising agencies in Latvia, as well as with the already established advertising agency "Weekend". The second half of the day was devoted to the training on valuable media led by Vanda Dauksta, lecturer at Riga School of Economics.

"A company's business card is its reputation, which is based on a single, energetic team; therefore, so any manager and leader must be able to assess their employees and provide them with everything to transform brand values to their customers on a daily basis. Advertising campaigns come and go, but the best business messengers with their attitude and ability to persuade remain, "says Janis Buks, Head of Nordea bank in Latvia, who is also a member of the Junior Achievement Latvia Council and mentor of new leaders.

This year, the first master-class on time planning and project implementation stages, together with entrepreneurs Guntars Kokorevičs and Riga Coach School experts at Nordea Bank were held at the beginning of March. In April new leaders were advised by Draugiem Group spokesman Janis Palkavnieks, head of business etiquette lab Baiba Pušinska and journalist Ansis Bogustovs in the technology, media and business sector issues.

Nordea supports the Leadership Program of JAL for young people for the third year. The goal of this unique educational program in Latvia is to create a new generation of leaders for increasing Latvia's competitiveness. During the academic year, the mentors involved in the program, known in Latvia as entrepreneurs and managers, with an aim to share their experiences, inspire and encourage young people to pursue their leadership skills.
