OSAC collaborates with the private sector by providing ongoing threat awareness and crisis support, consultations, analysis, and programs and events. Signing up for an OSAC account will ensure that you are abreast of all current events and have access to a platform to provide input on important security issues affecting the private sector. You will also get OSAC analytical reports and upcoming OSAC events, both country chapter and Common Interest Committees.
On April 18, 2019 the U.S. Embassy Riga in cooperation with AmCham Latvia established OSAC (Overseas Security Advisory Council) Riga Council and elected the Steering Committee. OSAC was created in 1985 under the Federal Advisory Committee Act to promote security cooperation between American private sector interests worldwide and the U.S. Department of State. OSAC Country Councils will provide a forum for effective communication between the U.S. Embassy and the private sector in Latvia.
