Riga Stradins University (RSU) has joined the Chamber as a Corporate member. RSU is a modern, prestigious research university and the largest research institute in Latvia in Medical and Health Sciences. Their mission is to produce relevant knowledge and provide high quality education and expertise in all its fields of activity. RSU core research directions are oncology, virology, precision medicine, public and reproductive health, occupational and environmental health, as well as in media studies and international relations. RSU offers 68 study programs to more than 9160 students and 35 study bases in Latvia and abroad. RSU is a regional leader in blended learning methods where professional skills in medical professions are developed by real-life simulations at the RSU Medical Education Technology Centre. About 25% of RSU students are form Germany, Norway and other countries in Europe and beyond. For its achievements in education export RSU has received the title of Export Champion at the Export and Innovation Awards which the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia organizes together with the Ministry of Economics. RSU has been recognized as the university with the best reputation in Latvia for four years in a row, gaining the highest rating among the 9 largest Latvian universities according to a study conducted by market research company Kantar TNS in 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020.
In the Chamber it will be represented by Agrita Kiopa, Vice Rector for Science.
