Sharing knowledge and experience with the students from U.S.

Mar 11, 2015
For the 2nd year in a row, RISEBA University will be running the international residency project for MBA students from Robins School of Business (University of Richmond, USA). This year the project will be held from 30 May to 7 June 2015. This project is a part of the Robins School's Global Environment of Business course, which is a regular semester class with the integrated one week residency outside of the U.S.

The International Consultancy Project (ICP) is an exceptional opportunity for five to six Latvian companies to use international students' knowledge to a business challenge of strategic relevance that exists within their organizations.

Working in teams of three to four students with diverse professional background, each team conducts a major project/ICP for the Latvian host company. The ICP may deal with any business challenge - from internal marketing to the feasibility of entering a new market (perhaps the U.S.). During the residency, each team meets at least twice the client firm representatives to develop a better understanding of its needs and expectations. When the group returns to the U.S., the teams begin their ICP field research. The deliverables for each team are a written report and a Power Point presentation with a voice-over for a client firm.

In 2014 six student teams from the US prepared their ICPs for Laci Bakery, Erenpreiss, SWH SETS, EXIGEN Services, LIVE RIGA and GIRAFFE VISUAL. This year we are pleased to invite you to participate in ICP 2015 and challenge US MBA team in your organization.

The ideal client company profile:

  • More than 3 years of operating experience in Latvia
  • International exposure (if not already exporting company should have a vision to expend internationally)
  • Location: Riga, Riga District, Vidzeme region
  • Readiness to dedicate time and attention to the team during ICP 2015 from 30 May to 7 June 2015

In addition to the ICP, during the residency period the US students will have lectures delivered by RISEBA faculty, business executives and government officials. RISEBA invites your company representatives to share their knowledge and experience with the US students by participating in this project as guest speakers.

To register your company as ICP 2015 project participant, please contact Alina Dolmate, RISEBA International Project Manager (e-mail: alina.dolmate@riseba.lv or telephone: +371 26714520) before 20 April 2015.
