Recently Swedbank together with experts in various fields has created a digital handbook for entrepreneurs “Step-by-step towards sustainability”, which helps to understand the concept of sustainable business and the various aspects of sustainability. It includes short and precise information that every entrepreneur needs to know about sustainability issues. The handbook (in Latvian) is available HERE
The handbook takes the reader step-by-step through the basic concepts of sustainable business and climate change, outlines Latvia's climate change scenarios and their impact on business, and offers practical tools to develop and assess the sustainability of their business as well as includes examples of Latvian companies that have already successfully implemented those principles.
"Although we have been working on sustainability issues for many years, the last couple of years can be described as reaching the next level, mainly due to getting ready for the requirements of the new regulation. There are still many questions that should be answered, however there are many that we have already learned during this time. Together with colleagues and experts from the private, public and NGO sectors, we aimed to bring together key topics in one place to give our customers here in Latvia a starting point when initiate or expanding a sustainable business,” explains Adriāna Kauliņa, Swedbank's Sustainability Officer in Latvia.
Being part of AmCham community brings valuable networking opportunities in different business areas as well as informal connections within Business After Hours.
