I look forward to promoting stronger U.S.-Latvia ties and working with AmCham members to ensure Latvia is a trusted destination for international business.

On April 4-5, the sixth biannual summit of the EU-U.S. Trade and Technology Council (TTC) convened in Leuven, Belgium. Amid concerns about the uncertain future of this transatlantic dialogue after the upcoming elections on both sides of the Atlantic, this summit delivered some low-hanging fruits on tech and explored further areas of cooperation. EU and U.S. officials agreed to deepen cooperation on trustworthy AI, quantum technologies, semiconductors supply chain disruptions, and 6G. However, with both EU and US elections looming, trade frictions were deferred to the next administrations.
Membership is an attestation that we belong to the modern Latvian business community.
