On May 16-17, a member delegation of AmCham Latvia joined the Annual Pan-Baltic Conference 2024 in Vilnius, Lithuania. The conference "Strengthening Ties – Fostering Economic Resilience and Collaboration" welcomed the members of AmCham Latvia, AmCham Estonia, and AmCham Lithuania to discuss the most important topics for the current business and investment environment.
During the first day of the conference, participants explored the business landscape of the Baltics and discussed strategies for overcoming challenges and attracting new investments. Topics included resilience strategies for Pan-Baltic businesses' success, cybersecurity risks and threats in the Baltics, digital transformation and AI, and turning challenges into opportunities through strategic actions for success. Discussed also was the importance of investing in health systems, noting its comparable significance to the defense sector. The second day of the conference focused on the presence and future of the workforce in the Baltic region.
The keynote speakers and panels provided a wealth of knowledge and practical tools. A huge thank you to the organizers and speakers for making this event a success. Special recognition of the speakers representing AmCham Latvia: Guntars Krols from EY, Renate Strazdina from Microsoft, Irena Teterina from Novartis, Agne Stojakove from Strategic Staffing International, and Sandra Siliniece from Cognizant - thank you for your insights and expertise!
