Rail Baltica will make Latvia part of a regional hub. Baiba Rubesa, Chairperson of the Management Board and CEO of RB Rail adressed AmCham on the impact of this major project and the latest developments.

According to her, Rail Baltica is the most magnificent project of the century connecting five countries in the European Union. The project aims at ensuring safety and integrity of the entire region.

Rail Baltica is expected to be the first successful Baltic joint venture offering better connections for passengers and increased cargo in the North-South corridor. It is estimated  that over EUR 5 billion will be invested in the project over the next 15 years with 85% funding from the EU.
