On June 8, Līva Zorgenfreija, Chief Economist of Swedbank Latvia provided an in-depth macroeconomic outlook and engaged in a lively discussion with members. While the Latvian economy did relatively well in 2020, the performance was worse than the rest of the Baltics, but strong growth is expected again in 2022.

On June 3, a webinar in Connect with AmCham series explored the topic of the future technology with excellent experts from our membership - Kristaps Banga, Innovation Lead at Accenture in Latvia and Mārtiņš Bērziņš, Head of Digital Customer Experience, Deputy Business Development at Citadele banka.

On May 27, members of the American and Norwegian Chambers of Commerce had an opportunity to engage in the interactive workshop around innovation with guest speaker Prof. Vijay Kumar, Executive Director of J-WEL and Associate Dean for Open Learning at MIT. Members representing various industries were matched based on their topic of interest: human capital development, health, digital transition and green economy.
