AON hosts a master class with Maris Verpakovskis

Jun 09, 2014
There is no better way to bring together people, than by doing something good.

This year during AON Global Service Day on June 12, AON donated their community service and finances to various charities around the world. Aon Baltic has been a long time supporter of SOS Children’s Villages, thus they decided to devote their resources and time to support SOS Children’s Village in Valmiera. Although the weather was bad, the rain didn't stop the AON team from doing good deeds.

Since Aon Corporation is a principal sponsor of the football club Manchester United, this Global service day was spent in the true spirit of sportsmanship by restoring the football field, changing football gate nets, painting gate frames and installing benches and providing SOS Children’s Village with new football balls. The event culminated with a football game, in which everyone was able to take part. As a special surprise to the children, the most famous Latvian football player Maris Verpakovskis gave them a master class training. It seems that none of the balls were left without an autograph of Maris. At the end of the day guests and children were treated to a delicious meal.
