On March 16, the AmCham Healthcare work group convened for its next meeting to discuss the status of the upcoming healthcare financing conference and gain an update on various topics driven by healthcare sub-groups.

On April 12 members met with Andris Spruds, Minister of Defense of Latvia to discuss the topics of utmost importance today, including security and defense policy priorities, strengthening of military capabilities and cooperation as well as strategic communication.

On April 8 the AmCham Digital&AI work group gathered for the third meeting to discuss the directions and activities and to get an update on the AI legislation. 

On March 26 our Corporate Contributing members joined a special meeting with Baiba Smite-Roke, Director General of the State Revenue Service. Ms. Smite-Roke gave an insight into her priorities for the future strategic development of the State Revenue Service and the improvement of Latvia's tax system.

On March 22, members had the opportunity to discuss the latest developments in the healthcare system with Hosams Abu Meri, Minister of Health during AmCham's speaker luncheon. The Minister laid out a comprehensive plan for healthcare transformation - one that is resilient, digital, and adaptive in the face of evolving demands. In addition to the  Minister, the luncheon was joined by several high-ranking officials from the Ministry of Health and NHS.
