On March 20, members had an opportunity to visit Mitigate offices for the March Business After Hours and participate in an informative and timely session on leveraging Generative AI for business growth. The event was filled with an exciting atmosphere enhanced by AI-created profiles, gourmet treats, and AI-powered raffle. It was truly an unforgettable evening unveiling the transformative power of AI and its impact on various industries.

On March 14, the AmCham Healthcare work group in their meeting continued to discuss the position on the EU Pharma legislation, the draft Law on Support for innovation and priority projects, as well as future priorities of the new Oncology plan. Group members also discussed feedback on a survey about the activities and performance of HCWG and took part in a small brainstorming workshop.

On March 7, more than 90 members and guests joined the AmCham Annual General Meeting to review the past year’s activities and elect the Board of Directors. In his opening remarks at the AGM, U.S. Ambassador Christopher Robinson emphasized the importance of economic security in Latvia’s overall security posture. The Ambassador praised AmCham for its support in encouraging Latvia’s adoption of de-risking and energy strategies that would make it easier for foreign investors to gain access to banking services and make it clear to the private sector how they can invest in Latvia’s energy sector.
 

On March 4, Digital Affairs and AI work group members held a second hybrid work group meeting to set the directions and priority areas. The group will focus on sharing members’ expertise and engaging with policymakers through discussions and events.

On February 29, Radisson Blu Latvija Conference & Spa Hotel invited members to the Business After Hours at their premises with a welcome speech by the management about hotel renovation. More than 40 members who attended the networking event had an opportunity to tour the hotel's premises, spa zone and restaurant.
