Exploring the hottest venue in Old Town - BURZMA

On May 30, members had an excellent opportunity to join Business After Hours kindly hosted by CBRE Baltics and Kirson Design Group at the hottest venue "Burzma" with 11 street food units and the Holy Sip bar located in the Old Town at the Galerija Centrs 4th floor. We are grateful to both hosts for such an excellent event, outstanding pizzas and delicious cocktails.

Enjoying American music

On May 24, members and their guests were invited to the first American Music Night at live music bar "Sidrerija". It was a fun event and a truly unique opportunity to experience American culture and live music played by the band "SugarSugar" in the company of friends. The band played rock'n'roll, blues and rock covers of the many great songs from the artists' Howlin’ Wolf, Muddy Waters, Eddie Cochran, Elvis Presley, Jimi Hendrix and others.

Prioritizing the human capital development

On May 18, AmCham held the next Thought Leaders Series with Anda Caksa, Minister of Education and Science, which was attended by our Corporate Contributing members and Labor Force work group representatives. The Minister outlined her priorities and the government’s plans with regard to upskilling or reskilling the existing workforce and ways to promote a culture of cooperation between universities and the industry to lessen the mismatch between the quality of education received and labor market demands.
