The true spirit of Christmas is a spirit of giving. AmCham kicked off the holiday season with its Annual Christmas party and charity raffle. This year together we have raised EUR 1500 for our principal charities: Latvian Foster Family Association, RMHC Latvija's Care Mobile and SOS Children's Villages in Latvia. As a result many children in Latvia will be able to receive free healthcare services and a family-based support.

Since 2011 well over 20,000 Latvian children have received free medical care near their homes across Latvia from the Care Mobile team. The Care Mobile team is accepting donations. If you have glasses with frames intact which you no longer need, they are ready to collect them.

Zigmunds Zaļenko, Accenture Latvia, Children's Palliative Care Society and TechHub Riga Co-founder Andris Berzins were awarded the Human Development Award of Latvia 2016 on April 15 during the Awards Ceremony Dinner at the Latvian National Library. The winners received a custom-made sculpture "Sprout" designed by artist Olga Silova, an Award certificate and other special prizes by the program partners and sponsors. AmCham together with the US Embassy and Civic Alliance of Latvia hosted the Human Development Awards for the 3nd consecutive year.
